Marco’s approach to therapy is primarily interpersonal in nature and is strongly influenced by attachment theory and a broad range of mindfulness-based approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). Patients who see Marco prefer long-term therapy that delves into their mental health on a deeper level by exploring past experiences and feelings such as shame, guilt and low self-worth. Beyond his skills in one-to-one therapy, Marco also possesses expertise in interpersonal group therapy. While his therapeutic approach is focused on the relief of painful symptoms, the primary function of his therapy is to greatly enhance well-being by helping patients engage more wholeheartedly in a life that is characterised by a strong sense of meaning, vibrancy and growth. Marco has a strong sporting background and is particularly focused on the importance of physical health, fitness and nutrition in the enhancement of mental health.
